THERMAL INSULATION WITH PLASTER FAÇADE TECHNOLOGY

THERMAL INSULATION WITH PLASTER FAÇADE TECHNOLOGY

Technology
Insulation with plastered facade or “wet facade” technology is one of the most common building insulation solutions. This solution, which improves the thermal properties of building envelopes in various modifications, has been widely used in Europe since 1960. Expanded polystyrene is one of the most effective thermal insulation materials, which is able to maintain high thermal properties in the long term.

Material
There are 2 types of expanded polystyrene material available: “white”, or EPS and “gray”, or NEO EPS. The products differ from each other in the additives added to them during the production process. The gray shade in this case is obtained thanks to graphite particles, which allow improving the thermal properties of the final product by up to 20%. Expanded polystyrene has a very low thermal conductivity, or λ, which, depending on the type selected, can range from 0.031 to 0.040 W/mK. The material has very low water absorption, so it continues to perform its insulating functions even when in direct contact with water. EPS is very environmentally friendly and lightweight, as it consists of up to 98% air.

Quality
Plaster facade insulation solutions, or ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System), are certified in accordance with the requirements of ETAG 004. These documents strictly regulate the materials to be used and the application technology to be applied, thus providing the end consumer with a certified system with high durability, increased fire resistance and a manufacturer's warranty.
